If you follow me on social media, you will see me post my workouts each day. I learnt early on in life that exercise made me feel good. It took me time to embrace this and prioritise it as part of the piece that made me a happy human being. Not enough emphasis is put on the benefits of exercise. We are told its good for our bodies, however we do not really understand why this is.
Getting the good endorphins from moving our bodies is so helpful in sustaining a good mood for the day. They carry over to help us make better choices with food. Moving our bodies also helps us sleep a lot better. Muscle preservation is directly related to longevity, so moving our bodies is very important in this outcome for living a long and healthy life.

Finding an exercise you enjoy is very important in this process too. As adults we often stop learning new things – I really do not know why this is because as kids we are constantly learning. I think we start making excuses for ourselves and then we just stop. I urge you to keep trying new things until you find the exercise you like the best because that is the one you will keep doing.
